If you want to save some money and just want a quick elopement ceremony, you may want to consider the Anytime Wedding Chapel in Bonita, which is about 20 minutes southeast of San Diego. You can rent the chapel for a half hour for a small fee, as well as obtain the services of a minister, again for a small fee. Hiring a San Diego Wedding Officiant

Another way to elope in San Diego is to hire a wedding officiant who will perform your ceremony at one of the many wonderful outdoor venues in and around San Diego, such as a beach or public park.

Do realize, however, that a public venue is just that - public. You generally don't have a say as to who may wander into your space. Do be sure to call for permit info. Some places may not require a permit if under a certain number of people, but it's always safer to find out ahead of time.
