It can sometimes be tough to find venues which offer small elopement weddings, even in a state like New York, which is popular for couples all around the world who come here to elope. Niagara Falls, NY Elopement Weddings

Niagara Falls is synonymous with eloping, both on the Canadian side and the New York side. A couple standouts which offer elopement packages include:

The Rainbow House Bed & Breakfast is a century-old Victorian home decorated with antique and hand painted furniture. They offer an elopement package called "A Romantic Wedding," which includes a ceremony in the Rainbow Chapel or any number of outdoor locations, including above the Bridal Veil Falls, at the upper rapids, at the brink of the falls, or in the Great Lakes Gardens.

The ceremony is super reasonable (currently $149, but do check for current pricing). This, however, does not include an officiant, so you would have to hire one on your own. The Rainbow House staff can recommend an officiant. Photography, videography, flowers and a cake are extra, but, again, the prices are still quite reasonable.

Bridal Chapel of Niagara Falls offers many different packages for weddings, elopements and vow renewals, many of them very low priced. The basic Bridal Chapel Packages is priced at $199 (as of September, 2010). Other packages include:

• Falls View package - get married standing next to the Falls, with views of both the American and Canadian Falls
• Great Lakes Gardens - lush garden a short distance from the Falls
• Helicopter package - say "I do" while flying over Niagara Falls

All packages include a wedding officiant and a witness.

Finger Lakes Elopement Weddings

The Finger Lakes area is a chain of lakes in upstate New York, providing tourists with beautiful lakes and waterfalls, and year-long outdoor adventures. It's also New York state's largest wine-producing area, with more than 100 wineries and vineyards, many of them open for tastings. This makes for one fabulous area for a wedding! Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region, The Fox and the Grapes is an 1885 Victorian Inn overlooking Seneca Lake. The Fox and the Grapes blends the old with the new. You'll find a music room with a pump organ and a Philco Radio, but also a movie library with over 100 DVDs as well as high-speed internet access. They also offer the eloping couples with three elopement packages, from a basic elopement ceremony starting at $375.84 (as of September, 2010), as well as elopement packages which include a 2-night stay in the Bridal Suite. These packages do include the services of an officiant.
